hey! i was wondering if maybe you could help me out! i want to decorate my room and i wanna go kinda boho! where could a find a cool jewel tone gypsy looking bedspread, possibly with the colors deep purple&olive but not necessarily, or just a gypsy comforter in general for under 100?
Anything really looks good (and is new) under a 100 might be hard to come by. That said, thrift stores might have something, but you might want to have it dry cleaned. anthropologie ($$) has an incredible selection of what you’re describing, as does restoration hardware ($$$), instead, you could buy a sari (indian piece of clothing, usually extremely ornamental and beautiful) and use it as a throw blanket. amazon actually has something like this for around $100.
im so sorry I’m so shitty at answering the messages! i like answering them, it’s just I’m always busy. do you want me to answer the bedroom questions publicly or keep them private so your feeds aren’t clogged with them?
Hey! So I've been using a quilt my great grandmother had made for a bedspread now and it's really nice and comfortable but it doesn't go with my old decorations. The quilt's background is white and has blue and red designs all over it. What decorations can I get to make my room look better with it? Thanks xx
make everything else one of the colors in the quilt. i mean if you go with red- do a pale red rug, sheets, pillows, art that has red in it- then the quilt won’t look out of place, it’ll almost become the centerpiece. the red you use elsewhere needs to be paler though.
I'm redoing my room- painting it light grey almost white, my furniture is white and very modern and I have a crystal chandelier I'm going for a cozy elegant look with a white and grey color pallet should I have an accent color? Any suggestions for decorations and theme?
sounds like you’re on a great path. maybe not an accent color, perhaps an accent fabric? a leather blanket, leather chair, leather throw pillows.
the key to hippie is low, worn in stuff. leather and wools, furs even. high pile or shag carpets, no single light source, but a selection of lamps, dimmed overheads, string lights, and some natural light. a lot of people disagree, but stick with dark fabrics for the beds, but one accent color. instead of neon and stuff.
